When Cindy David isn't traveling, using her artistic talents to purchase gems that she later uses to design, make and sell her beautiful jewelry, you can find her at Fahrenheit on her mat. "I love to practice hot yoga." says Cindy. "I've been doing yoga for a number of years, but discovered hot yoga about three years ago." It took a while for her to find a studio that she connected with, but she's found her sacred place at Fahrenheit.
"Since I tend to be a type "A" personality, [hot yoga] is something that centers me, calms me down and whispers to my spirit," said Cindy, she also finds that her practice makes her less apt to react to people or situations, "Whether I practice for 60, 75, or 90 minutes, this is a time when I can be completely selfish. I don't have to worry about anything or anyone. I get a chance to practice gratitude and being present in the moment."
Cindy's biggest surprise is how her body changes day-to-day, "Some days I can do all the poses effortlessly and other days it's more of a struggle and I need to rest. But the beauty resides in the fact that it doesn't matter. What matters is that I show up!" We couldn't agree more, Cindy.
Off the mat, Cindy's Mediterranean heritage, extensive world travels and innate artistic talents come together to create her original jewelry designs. She creates one-of-a-kind pieces of "wearable art" using natural gemstones, semi-precious stones, Swarovski Crystals, freshwater pearls, and precious silver and gold.
