Pink in the park with Alli Taylor in memory of Laura Slemp

  • Sevier Park 3021 Lealand Lane Nashville, TN, 37204 United States (map)

For years, Fahrenheit Yoga has proudly partnered with Real Men Wear Pink and the American Cancer Society through Nashville’s Fit Crawl 2 Fight Breast Cancer, a citywide movement that unites the fitness community to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research, early detection, and patient support.

Since the very beginning, our Pink in the Park event has been lovingly led by Alli Taylor, whose guidance and energy have become a cornerstone of this tradition. Each October, Alli gathers our community in Sevier Park for a heartfelt flow dedicated to hope, healing, and change. This is a donation-based class, and every dollar raised goes directly to the American Cancer Society to continue fueling lifesaving research and vital resources.

This year, we dedicate our practice to the memory of Laura "Pookie" Slemp (1985 to 2022), a best friend of our owner Nora Shabayek and a radiant light to all who knew her. Laura’s courage, warmth, and joy touched countless lives. Though her 37 years ended far too soon, her spirit lives on in the love she gave and the strength she shared.

On October 26, we honor Laura’s life and legacy while continuing the fight against breast cancer alongside Alli, our community, and countless others across Nashville in the Fit Crawl 2 Fight Breast Cancer.

Join us for this special morning of movement, remembrance, and unity. Together, we can carry Laura’s spirit forward and stand stronger in the fight against breast cancer.
